Food is good, portions are a bit small, however
Food is good but portions are too small for the price. Could be better
The food was great...had their chicken wings, quesadillas and tacos. Service was great and the atmosphere was small and cozy...Can't wait to come back here again and again.
MoreI review this to stop NYC tourists from doing what I did - based on the glowing reviews here I went in to make sure I had decent mexican during my trip to the states but was sorely disappointed. Looked authentic enough given the staff seemed to be actual Mexicans but neither of our burritos had any flavour and were mostly soggy rice.
MoreFunctionally, Choza is just like Chipotle. Bowl, burrito or tacos; pork, chicken, beef; etc.Taste, it's homemade; such a difference. Wish they had a few more locations.Carnitas (pork) bowl is my regular dish. Highly recommended.
MoreGood food miss the hot sauce they had before.
Solid food. Def better than Chipotle
Excellent food. Their breakfast sandwiches are awesome.
Fast and delicious, great prices. Can't recommends enough!
By far, the best west coast burritos I have ever had on the east coast.
I love this taco/burrito store they have fresher ingredients and they know how to roll a burrito unlike your big chain Mexican stores.I usually get a pork, white rice, black bean and guacamole burrito. They have very limited seating but Madison Square Park is a block away so if its nice you can go there. If you're around i highly suggest going here
Morelots of variety in this food court, Choza tacos are really good and they serve my choice of taco shell... corn.
MoreFlavorful offerings, but service was sub-par when I went. They were also out of beans of any kind so didn't have a choice other than tacos. The garbanzo bean tacos were good.
MoreGood stuff. Not very hot, but salsa spicing was nice. Basic menu. Quick and cheap enough (they do have rent after all).
MoreOrdered food on Cinco De Mayo and it came over 2 hours late. (Understandable due to the holiday), however 1/2 order was missing, some was cold and my burrito had a piece of metal in it. The delivery guy was supposed to come back with the rest of our order, but he left almost an hour ago and I don't expect him to actually come back. Food looks way different than the website. Chorizo burrito was good though - if it didn't have a piece of metal in it.
MoreReasonably good Mexican fast food. Portions a bit small for the price, but food is well prepared.
MoreGreat tacos, generous portions of meat. Chorizo is my fav.
As good as it gets for 2000 miles rom the border. The breakfast tacos were right on and the right price! I will be eating food from here whenever I want some quick Mexican in Manhattan...
Morethe greatest place ever. HANDS DOWN. Gotham location we miss you.
You can get any of the protein options in tacos, a burrito, or a sandwich or bowl. It's a decent alternative to the quick service chains but it's in the same style, so don't expect a homey experience.
MoreI've walked by Choza Taqueria several times, and noticed the sandwich board slogans outside their door. On a whim, I came in one a snowy Saturday afternoon. The service and/or decor did not strike me as lacking. Unlike Chipotle or Qdoba, there was not a large amount of things to add to my carne asada burrito - the options are pretty limited. But the meat was not bland, and overall, my burrito was pretty tasty. I would visit Choza Taqueria again.
MoreEvery meal I've ever gotten here has been excellent - also pretty inexpensive compared with surrounding restaurants.
MoreI don't know how people are leaving reviews 2 and 3 weeks ago, as this place has been CLOSED for at least 3 months.
MoreFood was very fresh and tasty! And not overly expensive! Will definitely be back!
MoreGreat food, great atmosphere, great overall.
CLOSED!!! This place used to be great but now it’s closed!!! :(
Best Carnitas tacos in the city!!! Everything else is very good as well. If you haven't eaten there yet, you are missing out.
MoreUpdate: one day later and this place gave me food poisoning! Eat here at your own risk!!Horrible food. Cheap prices but a totally uninspired experience. I ate as quickly as possible to avoid having to taste it. The tortilla was cold and the chorizo had a bitter flavor. DO NOT EAT HERE.
MoreTasty tacos and burritos! fresh ingredients Friendly staffFast
Small place with just a few seats. But the food is very tasty. Their burritos are more flavorful that the Chipotle's burritos, especially because of their pineapple salsa. Don't get me wrong, we go to Chipotle quite often, but Choza Taqueria is by far better. I also like their fish tacos, but if I am really hungry I opt for the burrito.
MoreGood for both breakfast and lunch.
This place is amazing !! Best Mexican food I've had in NY so far! Very reasonably priced for what you get! Chipotle who......
MoreGreat place and price...Works quite well that it is right across the street from where I work.
MoreTacos and tamales were delicious!
Delicious, the Mexican Hot Chocolate is a great pick me up
Great places to satisfy your taco crave if you work in midtown. Order on ritual and pick up when it's ready. Food was made with fresh ingredients. Try the house habanero if you looking for a kick of spicy. Tortillas were a little cold.
MoreThis a no frills simple straighforward taqueria with a top notch menu and lightening fast service suited for the Flatiron districts fast pace. With Madison Sq Park just a block away this taqueria has the perfect assembly line menu of tacos, burritos & bowls to get you in and out quickly. They even have an inexpensive breakfast menu to get you thru the morning grind. There are a handful of amazing salsas (4 really) and if you ask nicely they may squirt a healthy dose of the Habanero sauce they keep on the ready. Adding guacamole to your burrito or bowl is a must and for the price you'll appreciate the giant dollop served up. The to-go style taqueria has a few seats but I never linger inside especially in the summer. Don't forget to order one of their four homemade agua frescas for a refreshing beverage to wash it all down. Bonus points for a great vegetarian offering not to be overlooked.
Moreit's to expensive for the portion you get...the food isn't HOT like just of the stove ... the decor is not inviting at all. if u want to spend 15.00 on a small bowl of food that you will probably be hungry in and hour or 2 then sure why not ... Chipotle is better
MoreReally good chorizo torta. Their ingredients are fresh and you get great quality for the price. Very nice staff as well.
MoreI am here with my group of 9 middle schoolers after visiting the MoMath Museum. They loved the tacos, tortas, Watermelon Agua Frescas, and Horchata. Nelson and Kathy were friendly, helpful and even brought us our individual orders. I'd recommend this spot. Yum!
MoreBreakfast Tacos are delicious! Treat yourself one day with the pork and/or chorizo breakfast taco. It will definitely fill you up. 2 tacos are about $4. Pretty good price for the quality. The owner is alo very nice and will explain the entire menu to you.
MoreFood is Fresh , Very tasty, And reasonably priced
Hole in the wall. Fairly tastey. I'll spend the extra couple bucks and goto chipotle where things are within the fresh category. Server was a dick.
MoreLove this place. Used to go for lunch when I worked around there.
For the price and decor of the store, food was subpar in both authenticity and portion size. Unless you do not mind overpaying for undercooked, generic Mexican styled cuisine, I'd suggest trying some of the other options in the area. They do not even offer limes upon request.
MoreIt’s food I guess. I wouldn’t come here for flavor.
Not bad. Flavor was lacking in both the chicken and steak Taco.
Service and decor? Who cares? I've had the Carne asada burrito, the chorizo, and a friend got the mixed taco plate; all were excellent. This is authentic Mexican and a step above street food. Killer.
MoreThis place was pretty good. Not sure why they closed down
Very delicious food, especially the meats. Very flavorful, bowls come with a lot of different goodies, like pickled veggies and beans.
